Sell Stuff you Don't Need
One great way to make money is to sell old items in either a yard sale or on eBay. You could also take unwanted items and sell them to a thrift store which is a very cheap and environmentally friendly way to buy. To start, you can ask your parents if they have any stuff they would like to sell, then offer to give them a percentage of the money made because they were their items.
Lemonade Stands are Legal
Another way to make money is to host a bake sale or lemonade stand. You could also sell candles or some other craft. This is a fun way to raise money that is really easy, especially if you love baking. You could do this with a friend or cousin to make it even more fun.
Get Neighbors to Hire You
A third way to make money is to offer to your neighbors to help them with yard work or walking their dog. This could be great for if your neighbors are away on a trip and need help with their house, or are just too busy to do house work in general. You could send a flyer out to everyone in your neighborhood and tell them to contact you when they need help.
Invest Your Savings
A fourth option for making money is investments. You can take any money you made from other efforts and invest in up-and-coming stocks. If you don’t have any to invest, you could borrow some from your parents and offer to pay them back if and when your stock grows. Some great stocks to invest in are AMZN or Amazon, because of the size of their company this is a great long term stock to invest in. S&P 500, which is a compilation of 500 companies which insures that if one company goes down a lot, it won’t affect you as much. Or AAPL or Apple, since they are a huge company they are growing in the long term.
Overall, there are many things that you can do to make money without a job, whether you are selling old items, or investing in stocks, don’t feel like your age prevents you from making money.
This is my strategy, stock recommendations are not guaranteed to do well.
